 We currently have an openning for a working student. This is a great opportuntiy for a self motivated individual with the desire to improve their skills as a rider and horseperson.
Requirements are:
* must be 13 years of age
* physically fit for the demands of
riding and genereal horse care.
* Team player with a positive attitude
* horse experience not necessary but helpful
* provide their own transportation
Responsibilites:
* Assisting with the training of horses of all ages
* Assisting with the care and management of all the
farm's horses
* Assisting with on farm clinics and events
* Assisting at shows
* Stall cleaning on weekends
Opportunities:
* Learning to work in a horse's natural environment to
to build trust and respect the foundation of all
training.
* Learn techniques of classical riding and training
* Learning basic sport therapy ie.(massage and
rehabilitating injuries).
* Learn biomechanics of horses
and how to apply to daily
training.
* Learn first hand how to judge dressage tests
and what dressage judges are looking for.
* multi/ media available to
assist in learning all above
mentioned
