As a child I rode endless hours bareback aboard my pony Queenie.  I have been in love with horses ever since then.  As a young adult I graduated with a degree in Nursing and currently work for EMMC in ICU/ PICU.  When I am not nursing I am with my horses. After  15 years of dressage schooling and working with many great trainers, I have developed an effective means of schooling my own horses.  I have successfuly competed through through second level.

1994-1998: Started dressage schooling at a local barn.  Started competing and training young horses.   Won several EMDA and MDS championships.

1998-2000:  Lessons w/ Vitor Silva of Sons of the Wind Farm.  Through numerous longe lessons I developed an effective seat.  I also had the opportunity to ride and observe high school trained Lusitano Stallions.

2001-2004: Continued dressage training with local judge and instructor Louise Trimble.  Lessons on Grand Prix schoolmaster .

2004-2006:  Lessons with dressage trainer and judge Carol Poulin-Taylor.   Sucessfully shown and trained through second level.  MDS silver medal recipient.

2006--2007  Started training in  third level  and  attending regular clinics with Jean Luc Cornille. International  Olympic trainer and competitor.  Working at developing  an effective knowlege base in biomechanics to address those needs in daily training. Started local  dressage judging for MECTA events.

Stacia is a bronze and silver medalist and current member of USDF and EMDA.  She is also a member of American Riding Instuctors Association.

My philosophy  for training is ........... "Getting frustrated working with trainers who say one thing and then practice another, I started searching for answers through my horses point of view.  Now I practice and teach principles that promotes physical and mental wellness for both horse and rider. Realizing many riders compete well above their level and horses level of expertise, I work to fill in holes that break down horse and rider communication. In turn my students and their horses feel confident and build a strong meaningful partnership." Stacia@stoneridgestables.net  FMI.
